2020 NFL Power Rankings, Week 10: Bucs crash and burn, Bills turn heads
By Randy Gurzi
It was a typical 2020 NFC East battle as the New York Giants won their second game of the season by knocking off the Washington Football Team 23-20. Ironically enough, it was their first win since Week 6 when they beat the Washington Football Team 20-19. What made it seem like a typical battle for the teams in the floundering division was the way it seemed like no one wanted to win the game.
New York took a 20-3 lead into the half but then gave up 17 points while only scoring three in the second half. It was still enough to get the win, but it seemed as though it shouldn’t have been this close.
Following the touchdown from Terry McLaurin that made it 23-20, New York moved the ball nine yards and had to punt. They then had an interception from Julius Peppers, who took an Alex Smith pass intended for J.D. McKissic away. That was followed by them losing three yards and punting it away.
Washington’s final chance again ended with a pick as Logan Ryan ended the game with a stellar play. As bad as both teams looked, neither are out of the race in the East, but it’s highly unlikely either will catch the Eagles especially since the Giants can only win when they play Washington.
