Los Angeles Chargers. 27. team. 13. . . Previous: 26th

The Los Angeles Chargers are cursed. This team has been struggling all season to hold leads as they’ve wasted one great performance from Justin Herbert after another. On Sunday, they flipped the script as they lost again, but this time it was in a different way as they failed to complete their comeback against the Raiders.

Shelley Smith of ESPN highlighted the way the game fell apart, which ended due to a pass being ruled incomplete in the end zone.

"“Just when you thought the Los Angeles Chargers had exhausted all the ways to lose a game, they came up with a new one in Sunday’s 31-26 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders at SoFi Stadium. Down by five points with one last gasp and one second on the clock, tight end Donald Parham Jr. appeared to catch the ball in the end zone — he was single covered by the Raiders’ Isaiah Johnson on the right side of the field — but then came the official ruling: He didn’t have control.” — Smith, ESPN"

The pass would have been one to remember for Herbert who has been nothing short of phenomenal as a rookie. He continues to rack up the yardage as he looks more like a seasoned pro than a first-year starter but things just keep falling apart for them. Now at 2-6, it’s safe to say the Chargers need to start thinking about how they can get better in 2021.
