Stud: Jakobi Meyers, WR

With a depleted receiving group following injuries to Julian Edelman and N’Keal Harry, the Patriots have looked for someone else to step up to help in the passing game on the outside of the field.

Another stud that stepped up in that role during the Week 9 win over the Jets on Monday Night Football was Patriots wideout Jakobi Meyers, who has stepped up really for the last few weeks in New England.

Meyers finished the game with a team-best 12 catches on 14 targets, hauling in 169 yards while averaging 14.1 yards per reception. Over the last three games, Meyers has become the top target for Cam Newton and the Patriots passing attack, averaging 7.3 catches and 95.7 yards over that span.

Dud: Patriots secondary

The biggest concern for New England in Week 9 came in the secondary and the play of that secondary throughout the course of the game.

For most of the year, that portion of the Patriots defense has been a strong point on the team and has resulted in New England ranking near the top in the league in passing defense leading up to Week 9 against New York.

But the Jets and Joe Flacco picked apart the Patriots defense and the secondary throughout the game, with Flacco finished with 18 completions for 262 yards and three touchdowns. In what has been a strong point on the team for the first half of the season was a glaring weakness in the win over the struggling Jets.
