Tampa Bay Buccaneers bold predictions as they look to avoid two straight losses.

Week 9 was not very kind to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and star quarterback Tom Brady. The team was embarrassed at home against its top division and possibly NFC rival the New Orleans Saints and it was on Sunday Night Football in front of the entire country. The team is looking to rebound and will try to do so with a road visit to North Carolina to play the Panthers in Week 10.

Now in second place and with only the third loss on the season, the Buccaneers will need to come out better prepared against the Panthers than they did against the Saints. Familiarity should help since the Bucs already have a win against Carolina, but the same philosophy did not work out against the Saints which went even worse than the first meeting between those two teams this season.

Tampa Bay might luck out as it looks like Christian McCaffrey will not be available for Sunday’s game. He looked like his old self against the Chiefs and would have been a tough test for a Tampa Bay defense that has been physically beaten down in the team’s last two games.

It will also help the Bucs that this game will not be played in a prime time slot. The Buccaneers have struggled thus far when playing under the lights and in front of a national TV audience. Perhaps getting back to a 1:00 p.m. ET slot will help the team get back to basics and back on the winning track.

With that, let’s make some bold predictions for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 10 against Carolina.

5. Ronald Jones will have 100 yards rushing

The Buccaneers offense looked out of sync all night against the Saints. When the team has looked at its best, they have had a consistent running game with Ronald Jones. He had a streak of three games over 100 yards at one point and this coincided with the team’s best stretch of play on both sides of the ball. Things went a little sideways when Leonard Fournette returned from injury.

The Bucs only had four rushing attempts plus a kneel down against the Saints which was completely unacceptable. Carolina has struggled to stop the run all season and we should expect the Buccaneers to deploy Jones early and often in this game.
