46. Best NFL Player Born in Virginia – Lawrence Taylor

Virginia’s very own Lawrence Taylor was dominating throughout the majority of his career. He was ferocious and made a knack for completely disrupting any offense coming his way. Opposing offenses were known to have an extra meeting or two per week just to prepare for No. 56.

Taylor did it all in his NFL career from winning championships to setting franchise records like there was no tomorrow. He totaled 132.5 sacks, 9 interceptions, and revolutionized what it means to be an aggressive, attacking, and downright vicious linebacker.

As a staple on the Giants’ defense, Taylor set the standard for what it took to be the best of the best. He’s won a plethora of awards throughout his legendary career as that’s something that the state of Virginia can always be proud of to this very day.
