AFC Playoff Picture No. 5 seed: Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens currently sit at 6-2, second in the AFC North and a game and 1.5 games out of first place. Even though their circumstances are tough, as they would be division leaders in five of the other seven divisions, there is no denying this is not the same team we saw last year.

Lamar Jackson has not been playing at his MVP level, and is on pace for 300 fewer rushing yards and 12 fewer touchdowns that he had in 2019. Their defense has been elite, and is only allowing 17.8 points per game, the fewest in the NFL. Their only two losses have come to the Steelers and the Chiefs, arguably the two best teams in the NFL.

Luckily for the Ravens, their schedule opens up quite a bit toward the end of the season. Their remaining opponents have a combined record of 29-34-1, and they have five games against opponents with three wins or fewer.

Even though their chances at a top seed are low, as it is going to be hard to make up 1.5 games on the Steelers, the Ravens could very well go into the wild card round as a favorite if their offense manages to heat up.
