FanDuel NFL Week 10 Picks and Advice: Wide Receiver

At $900 more than the next receiver, Davante Adams is clearly in a tier of his own, and rightfully so. While I will certainly make a few lineups with him in it, it is hard to make a strong cash lineup with Adams in it without sacrificing significantly elsewhere.

For that reason, I do not mind pivoting to DeAndre Hopkins ($8,600) or Michael Thomas ($8,500) who will both likely come with a lower roster percentage for tournaments as well. For cash lineups, Keenan Allen ($7,800) has been as consistent as they come and is averaging over ten targets per game.

My personal favorite plays at the wide receiver position this week are Cooper Kupp ($7,700), Robert Woods ($7,200) and Tyler Lockett ($7,400). All have had relatively inconsistent seasons, with a majority of Lockett’s points coming in two games.  I think this game is going to deliver on the high over-under, and these are the best ways to get in on it. D.J. Chark Jr. ($6,600) is a nice play with Jaire Alexander trending toward out, as it looked like he and Jake Luton had a nice connection in their first game together.

Finally, Brandon Aiyuk ($6,500) and Brandin Cooks ($6,300) are incredible values, as Aiyuk is going to be a majority of San Fransisco’s offense and Cooks has four matchups in a row with at least nine targets, and now gets a juicy matchup against Cleveland.

I am personally avoiding all Tampa Bay receivers, though if I had to take a shot on any, Antonio Brown ($6,500) would be my choice. There are simply too many mouths to feed and you are just guessing who is going to eat any given week. For whatever reason, DJ Moore ($6,900) is still priced as a WR1, and is $500 more than Robby Anderson ($6,400). I would consider benching him in redraft leagues, meaning there is no reason to pay a premium for him in DFS.

Finally, I will not be playing Marvin Jones Jr. ($6,200) even though Kenny Golladay is out, as he only received four targets in his absence last week and now has to face a Washington defense that is the best in the NFL against the pass.
