Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Ja'Marr Chase. player. WR. LSU. 5. 31

There’s no denying the New York Giants have a lot of holes. That could lead to them going in several different directions here but the best bet is that they will land someone who can become a trusted No. 1 wide receiver for Daniel Jones. That leads to them selecting LSU receiver Ja’Marr Chase, the first wideout off the board in this 2021 NFL Mock Draft.

Right now, there are still concerns regarding Jones as the franchise quarterback but if we are being honest, it’s hard to judge him based on what he’s had to work with. Landing Chase will not only help open the offense up — and take pressure off running back Saquon Barkley — but it will show what they truly have in Jones.

6. 13. Pick Analysis. OT. Oregon. Penei Sewell. Scouting Report. player

Justin Herbert has been fantastic as a rookie but the Los Angeles Chargers as a whole have struggled. One way they can improve is by fixing their offensive line. With that being said, they land Penei Sewell here with the No. 6 pick. Sewell is a franchise offensive tackle who will grow alongside Herbert as the Chargers now have two of the most important offensive positions figured out.

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. player. 59. WR. Alabama. Jaylen Waddle. 7

(Pick via Houston Texans): Tua Tagovailoa has had a solid start to his career but he could use some help going forward. The Miami Dolphins wide receiver corps is good but not great, which is why they go for someone who can really help their offense take that next step. Jaylen Waddle ends up being the pick and the fact that he played on the same team as Tua will only make his transition easier.

8. player. Scouting Report. BYU. Zach Wilson. 47. Pick Analysis. QB

The Cam Newton experiment started out hot but has fizzled quickly. The New England Patriots were barely able to knock off the winless New York Jets, and unless things change drastically in the second half, Cam could be one-and-done in New England.

Even if that’s not the case, and they do bring him back on another short-term deal, the Pats need to find someone long-term. That’s why they go with BYU’s Zach Wilson here with the eighth pick. Wilson has quickly become one of the biggest stars in the nation and his rise is good enough to push him into the top 10.
