Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. RB. player. 59. Clemson. Travis Etienne. 21

It was a little surprising to see Travis Etienne return to Clemson for the 2020 season following back-to-back 1,600-yard seasons but he felt there was more to do with the Tigers. So far in 2020, he has another 634 yards and 12 total touchdowns. He lands with the Miami Dolphins here, who get another player capable of taking some of the pressure off of Tua.

Scouting Report. Virginia Tech. Caleb Farley. Pick Analysis. CB. 22. player. 52

(Pick via Los Angeles Rams): C.J. Henderson was a solid pick for the Jacksonville Jaguars last season but they need more help in the secondary. With that being the case, they take Caleb Farley here with their second pick in the opening round. A physical presence, the 6-2, 197-pound Farley uses his size to frustrate opposing receivers. A former quarterback, he understands how to read the eyes of the signal-caller and uses that to his advantage.

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. EDGE. Michigan. Aidan Hutchinson. 23. player. 48

At 6-5 and 278 pounds, Aidan Hutchinson looks like a player who will win with pure power. However, he’s also an impressive athlete and has the ability to line up as a defensive end in a four-man line while being able to slide inside as a three-technique as well. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been much better on defense this season than expected but they can stand to get younger up front.

Pick Analysis. EDGE. Pittsburgh. player. Scouting Report. Patrick Jones II. 24. 35

Another edge rusher comes off the board as the Tennessee Titans grab Patrick Jones from Pittsburgh. The Titans brought in Jadeveon Clowney this year and after eight games, he has just 19 tackles with no sacks. He’s been solid against the run and while his numbers don’t show it, he has put pressure on opposing quarterbacks.

Still, teams don’t pay defensive ends who don’t fill up the stat sheet, which is why he could be looking for a third team in as many years in 2021. That would open the door for the addition of Jones.
