DraftKings NFL Week 10 values: Defense/Special Teams
The Pittsburgh Steelers (PIT vs. CIN, $4,400) should put up plenty of points, but that price tag is steep. The Green Bay Packers (GB vs. JAX, $3,700) get a chance to feast on a rookie quarterback in his second start, against an offense that’s without Swiss army knife Laviska Shenault, and the Philadelphia Eagles (PHI at NYG, $3,600) welcome back Malik Jackson to their standout defensive tackle rotation.
All three of those defenses are solid locks, but those looking to skimp on the position to pay up elsewhere might prefer the Washington Football Team (WAS at DET, $3,200) against a Detroit Lions offense that’s scored 24 points or more only once since Week 4. Oh, by the way: the Lions are once again without their top playmaker, Kenny Golladay.
Best Buy: We love the New Orleans Saints (NO vs. SF, $3,000) this week at this price. After shutting down Tom Brady, we shudder to think about what they’ll do to Nick Mullens.
Bargain Bin: Two contrarian plays for those leaving no budget for the position: the Seattle Seahawks (SEA at LAR, $2,300) against a Los Angeles Rams passing game that hasn’t hit its stride, and from the opposing sidelines, a better-than-advertised Los Angeles Rams (LAR vs. SEA, $2,200) defense against the high-flying Seahawks. The latter’s schedule has been soft of late, but last week marked the first time since Week 3 that the Rams defense allowed more than 24 points.
