After the worst game of his career, Tom Brady looked like himself in a win over Carolina.

Last week on Sunday Night Football, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady had his critics feasting on his miscues as Tampa Bay fell to the New Orleans Saints 38-3. On Sunday in Week 10, however, the script flipped for the future Hall-of-Famer and his fellow Bucs.

Brady reverted back to what made him among the best in the league as the Buccaneers went on the road to Carolina (after a long flight delay) to win, 46-23, and improve to 7-3 on the year. They are still second in the NFC South but, this time, they have reason to be happy.

This game was closer than expected and, after a week in which lethargic play and ineptitude made their appearance under the lights, Tampa Bay and their 43-year-old quarterback more often looked like the team that people perceived them to be before they faced New Orleans in primetime.

Brady finished the game with 341 yards and three touchdowns while adding another rushing touchdown. Ronald Jones had a 98-yard touchdown run in the middle of the third quarter. Antonio Brown made a number of key conversion catches in the fourthth quarter to help Tampa Bay maintain composure after Carolina looked to respond.

Tom Brady will need consistency if the Buccaneers want to make a statement.

Let’s not forget that Tampa Bay was 6-2 and projected to be a Super Bowl team before the Sunday Night Football meltdown. However, a win in the league can help a team regain their composure. Plus, before this game, every time Tom Brady lost big, he came back the next week and looked well.

Furthermore, the team didn’t seem to have the proper chemistry a week before and it looked to be repeating when Ronald Jones fumbled the football early in the first quarter and the score was tied at halftime.

However, the Buccaneers and Brady flipped it on in the third quarter and looked strong despite a great kickoff return by Carolina’s Trenton Cannon and a strong rally by Teddy Bridgewater.

Brady knows that every game will not be smooth sailing. Furthermore, it will be a task to win the division after being swept by New Orleans given their pedigree and how they managed to hold off Carolina this week. Still, a win helps you improve on the year and Brady is certainly glad to take one.
