2020 NFL Power Rankings, Week 11: Patriots stun Ravens, Cardinals win on Hail Murray

It was another huge step in the comeback for Alex Smith, who has become one of the easier players in the NFL to root for. Sunday was the first time Smith started a game since his gruesome leg injury, which was followed by 17 surgeries.
Ahead of the game, Field Yates tweeted about how Smith nearly lost his life due to an infection from the injury. He also pointed out that it had been 728 days since suffering the injury until Smith got this start.
Unfortunately, he was unable to lead the Washington Football Team to a win but he sure made it close. Smith threw the ball 55 times and had 390 yards on 38 completions with his team trailing for the majority of the game.
After falling behind by as much as 24-3, Washington fought back and tied things up at 27 with 16 seconds to go. That drive was a joy to watch as it was vintage Smith, leading his team on a 17-play drive. It wasn’t enough though, as the defense somehow surrendered 34-yards in 16 seconds that allowed Matt Prater to knock in a 59-yard field to win the game for Detroit.
It was a major letdown for The Football Team who now falls to 2-7 on the year. It’s been a rough start for Ron Rivera in his first season in D.C., to say the least.
