2020 NFL Power Rankings, Week 11: Patriots stun Ravens, Cardinals win on Hail Murray
By Randy Gurzi
Another week, another loss for the Los Angeles Chargers as they fell to 2-7 on the season. This weekend, there was a little more intrigue in the game as they were on the road this weekend to face the Miami Dolphins which put two young quarterbacks against one another.
For Miami, it was No. 5 overall pick Tua Tagovailoa, who was making his third start of the season. Los Angeles had the following pick, which was used to acquire Justin Herbert who was making start No. 8. While it’s safe to say Herbert has looked like a franchise quarterback, he’s struggling to get wins as he’s now 1-7 following the loss to Tua, who is now 3-0 for Miami.
While many of the other losses felt like Herbert was let down by his team, this one was a little different. He was good but not great, completing 20-of-32 passes for just 187 yards with an interception — although he did have two touchdowns. He added a rushing touchdown as well, but it wasn’t enough as Miami took this win, 29-21.
If there was any bright spot for the Chargers, it was the way Kallen Ballage played. He had 68 yards rushing and 34 receiving as the former Dolphins draft pick played well in his debut for his newest club. Outside of that, there wasn’t a lot to get excited about.
