2020 NFL Power Rankings, Week 11: Patriots stun Ravens, Cardinals win on Hail Murray
By Randy Gurzi
For their first five games of the season, the New York Giants were hands-down the worst team in the NFC East. And that’s saying something because that division has been an absolute dumpster fire this season. During that stretch, the Giants were 0-5, and while they could say the loss of Saquon Barkley hurt their offense, they weren’t showing anything that made it seem as though one player could help them.
Now for the past five weeks, they have been the best team in the NFC East. They are 3-2 in that stretch and had Evan Engram been able to haul in a perfectly thrown ball from Daniel Jones in their last outing against the Eagles, they would have been 4-1.
In their re-match with the Eagles, they made sure it didn’t come down to one play needing to be made. Instead, they put this one away with a couple of field goals in the fourth quarter that made it a 10-point game. Now, the Giants are 3-7 but they’re in second place as the only team ahead of them is the Eagles who are 3-5-1 at this point.
There’s a lot going wrong for the Giants but they’re still arguably the favorite to pull off the East after this win. Which just seems weird, because they look nothing like a playoff team.
