These six NFL teams had hype heading into the season but have not lived up to it.

Some NFL teams receiver more attention than others heading into a new season. Maybe they had an incredible offseason where they drafted well and signed talented free agents.

Maybe their quarterback turned the corner at the end of the last season and the signs of a contending team started to show.

Whatever the reason may be, these six NFL teams had plenty of buzz about them as the 2020 season was getting underway. But they also have not lived up to the hype after 10 weeks of NFL action.

As a result, they make the list of most underwhelming NFL teams through Week 10.

After Drew Lock looked solid in four of his five starts as a rookie, the Denver Broncos made sure to surround him with talent over the offseason. They spent their first two picks on wide receivers, drafted his tight end from college, and continued to make sure their defense was top notch.

As a result, the Broncos looked to be a team that could go from 7-9 in 2019 to a playoff contender in 2020. Unfortunately for Denver, it’s not looking good for them to make the playoffs for the first time since they won Super Bowl 50. They currently sit at 3-6 and have looked really bad over the past two weeks.

Lock is regressing and that’s one of the Broncos’ biggest problems on offense. He threw four picks in Denver’s loss to the Raiders and now has 10 through seven games. Lock hasn’t even had a full regular season’s worth of games to really judge what kind of a quarterback he is, but the Broncos might be in a position where they’re forced to move on from him this offseason.

Injuries have been a problem for Denver and that’s one of the big things to zero in on. Von Miller and Courtland Sutton — two of the Broncos’ best players — have missed the entire season and that’s shown up big time on game day.

The Broncos went from being potential Wild Card contenders to now looking like a shoo-in for a top 10 pick. They’ve certainly underwhelmed this season.
