DraftKings NFL Week 11 Values: Tight Ends

Premium Tier ($5,000 and up): There are no tight ends in this price range this week. This makes it easier than usual to pay up at the position — but for what, exactly? George Kittle is out, and Jason Kelce and Darren Waller face each other in prime time, so they’re missing from the main slate.

Mid-Tier Values ($4,000 to $4,900): The highest priced tight end is Mark Andrews (BAL vs. TEN, $4,900); while we certainly don’t hate the idea, we’re a bit leery of paying up for a player who has logged more than three receptions in a game only once since Week 5 ended (a 7-61-0 line last week against the Patriots).

We’re just as likely to go with Hunter Henry (LAC vs. NYJ, $4,600) if we need to save a few hundred bucks, or maybe Hayden Hurst (ATL at NO, $4,400), if Calvin Ridley sits. Eric Ebron (PIT at JAX, $4,000) isn’t a bad start, either.

Value Tier ($3,000 to $3900): Dallas Goedert (PHI at CLE, $3,800) has burned us before, but he’s a high-risk, high-reward option who’s palatable at this price as long as Zach Ertz remains sidelined.

For $600 less, we prefer the higher floor of Logan Thomas (WAS vs. CIN, $3,300), who draws a Bengals defense that ranks in the league’s bottom five in fantasy points allowed to tight ends; Thomas has seen at least four targets in every game this season, and has accumulated 60 or more receiving yards in two of his last three games.

Bargain Bin (Under $3,000): We could let Chris Herndon (NYJ at LAC, $2,700) disappoint us again as a wayward dart throw, or we could take a chance on rookie Adam Trautman (NO vs. ATL, $2,500), who should see his snap count share continue to rise as Taysom Hill moves under center. Trautman has lined up for over 40 percent of the Saints’ offensive snaps for two straight weeks:

Best Buy: With Swift, Golladay, and Amendola out, T.J. Hockenson (DET at CAR, $4,200) should be the most heavily-targeted option in the Detroit Lions passing game this week. The matchup should allow him to make the most of those opportunities, as the Carolina Panthers have been the league’s most generous team to fantasy tight ends over the last four weeks.
