31. . EDGE. New York Giants. Gregory Rousseau. 9. player

The New York Giants are in an extremely curious position right now. First-year head coach Joe Judge has started to see some real signs of life from his team in recent weeks but, at the same time, questions about Daniel Jones persist. But for me, the biggest issue for this team remains a defense that is largely devoid of playmakers, specifically coming off the edge.

Taking Gregory Rousseau with a top-10 pick is admittedly risky. The Miami product opted-out of the 2020 season after a wildly productive 2019 campaign but the tape shows a player who is incredibly raw. Even still, the raw traits are impressive and give him the potential to live up to being a top-10 pick, it’ll just be up to whichever team drafts him, the Giants here, to develop him properly.

Trey Lance. 10. player. 45. . QB. Denver Broncos

It’s possible that only playing one meaningless game in the fall has hurt the draft stock of Trey Lance, especially with the rise of Wilson and even other quarterbacks in the class. However, the North Dakota State signal-caller is still a tantalizing prospect. He’s young and checks a ton of boxes with his arm strength, mobility and playmaking. Lance simply has refinement and technique issues from being better than FCS competition and not needing those things that he must work on.

In any case, the Broncos need Lance in the building. Some might consider it too early to cut bait with Drew Lock but all of the issues with the current young quarterback coming out of Missouri are still there and it’s hurting Denver. Giving the keys to Lance sooner rather than later would give the Broncos substantially more upside and, thus, a more promising future.
