player. 54. . LB. Philadelphia Eagles. Dylan Moses. 13

The entire City of Brotherly Love would not be living up to its name if I gave the Eagles a quarterback here but how crazy would that actually be? Carson Wentz has been bad this season in a major way. Yes, the offensive line is an issue but the quarterback’s decision-making and recklessness have hindered this team. Of course, you would expect Philadelphia to maintain faith in Wentz and look elsewhere to improve, so we will too.

Even with Wentz’s struggles, the biggest issue on this roster is the linebacker group. The Eagles consistently get torched in the middle of the field, so they quickly take Alabama’s Dylan Moses at the No. 13 pick. Moses has shown some stumbles after missing all of 2019 with a torn ACL but he’s still a physically gifted prospect with high upside who could help the Eagles immediately. Plus, don’t be surprised if he finishes his 2020 season strong as he gets firmer footing being back on the field.

14. player. 47. . TE. New England Patriots. Kyle Pitts

What do we even do with the New England Patriots? One week, it looks as if Cam Newton needs to go as soon as the 2020 season is over but then he shows flashes that make you question that. It’s a tough spot for the organization but perhaps the picture would become much clearer if they actually gave the quarterback a respectable group of weapons to throw to.

Taking that frame of mind into this pick, the Patriots select Florida tight end Kyle Pitts. This guy is a matchup nightmare who is a dynamic pass-catching threat. He’s too big for any defensive back but can overwhelm linebackers (and some safeties) with his athleticism as well. Pitts is a freak that can make plays all over the field and would help Newton and Bill Belichick get back to New England-style offense.
