Studs and duds from a paltry Atlanta Falcons effort in Week 11 against the Saints.

The Atlanta Falcons hit the road for a tough matchup against a divisional opponent in Week 11 while looking to stay hot as of late. Winners of two straight, the Falcons took on the New Orleans Saints for the first time this season on Sunday afternoon at Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.

With the Saints featuring a new quarterback under center while Drew Brees recovers from fractured ribs, Atlanta took on Taysom Hill and a New Orleans squad in an NFC South contest which resulted in the Saints coming out on top 24-9.

In the game, Atlanta stuck with New Orleans for most of the first half, but Hill and the Saints pulled away in the second half while shutting down the Falcons for the final two quarters.

In the first half, New Orleans and Atlanta were knotted up at 3-3 after the opening quarter, with the Saints holding a 7-6 advantage in the second quarter to lead 10-9 going into halftime.

In the second half, New Orleans pulled away behind Hill under center, outscoring Atlanta 14-0 over the final two quarters to take the 15-point victory at home and end Atlanta’s winning streak.

With the win, the Saints remain hot while winning their eighth game in a row to remain atop the NFC South with an overall record of 8-2 overall. In the loss, the Falcons see their two-game losing streak come to a close while falling to 3-7 overall on the season.

Atlanta will get back to action in Week 12 when it returns home to host the Las Vegas Raiders in Atlanta. New Orleans returns to the field in Week 12 when it takes on the Denver Broncos on Sunday evening in Denver.

With the divisional contest in Week 11 now over with, let’s look back at some studs and duds from the loss for the Falcons.
