Stud: Turnovers creating more opportunities

One thing that was a bright spot in the game for Atlanta was its ability to create at least one extra opportunity on offense while forcing New Orleans into turning the ball over in the second half.

With the Falcons trying to find a spark in the second half, they were able to try and gain some sort of momentum in the game when Taysom Hill fumbled the ball and Atlanta recovered the ball to take things over and try and climb back into the game.

Unfortunately for the Falcons, that turnover and fumble recovery didn’t make much of a difference by the end of the game as they were still held without a score in the final two quarters of the contest to drop the game on the road.

Dud: Falling to the shorthanded Saints

The biggest dud that took place for the Falcons in Week 11 in New Orleans was the fact that Atlanta wasn’t able to take advantage of the short-handed Saints and fell to a team that was dealing with some personnel changes on both sides of the ball.

Without Drew Brees under center for New Orleans, Atlanta had hoped it would have an opportunity to remain in the win column and steal a game on the road against one of the top teams in the NFC so far this season but wasn’t able to do that.

The Falcons had a chance to try and take things out of the Saints’ hands early in the game, but just weren’t able to do much against the New Orleans defense for specifically the second half of the game to drop the seventh contest of the year going into Week 12.
