The Indianapolis Colts should be thinking about a title after a 14-point comeback win.

Going into halftime, Aaron Rodgers and the Packers were getting the best of the Indianapolis Colts. As such, the home team found themselves down 28-14. A second-half comeback and game-winning field goal in overtime gave Indianapolis a 34-31 victory and a level of confidence that is usually found in championship contenders.

Despite a number of holding penalties in the fourth quarter and Rodgers making miraculous plays, the Colts found ways to execute and establish their identity in controlling the line of scrimmage. It is a trait that head coach Frank Reich is very familiar with his days as a quarterback in Buffalo. After an opportune forced turnover, they set up the winning score.

The Colts are now 7-3 and in first place in the AFC South with the Tennessee Titans, a team that they hold an advantage over, having the same record. Given their position, it can help them in the long haul, particularly with having a home playoff game.

The Indianapolis Colts aren’t perfect but they can make a run in the postseason.

Near the end of the game, the Colts were the recipient of a vast amount of holding penalties that threatened to derail their comeback. Furthermore, given the fact that they have one of the league’s best defenses at their disposal, it would be wise to not overuse them.

Additionally, the talent that currently resides in the Horseshoe state is not to be underestimated, particularly their offensive line, a key to any championship contender. Under their protection, Phillip Rivers threw for 288 yards and three touchdowns while the running game scored 130 yards total. The defense also held Green Bay to under 70 yards rushing and had a sack from Justin Houston.

In total, there is plenty to like about the Colts, who are often overlooked in the conference due to Pittsburgh and Kansas City. The Colts won the game thanks to a large comeback and with it, they now have the lead in the AFC South. However, they have a couple of areas to fix. If indeed they fix them, they just might be a surprise in the postseason.
