The Minnesota Vikings fell short against the Cowboys and these were the studs and duds.

The Minnesota Vikings entered a new week in the 2020 NFL season aiming to extend their winning streak while returning home to US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. With that task on their mind, the Vikings welcomed in the struggling Dallas Cowboys to Minnesota for a NFC matchup on Sunday evening in Week 11 of the regular season schedule.

Riding a three-game winning streak and suddenly finding themselves back into the playoff picture in the conference, the Vikings fell at home the Cowboys 31-28 on Sunday.

In the game, the Cowboys got out to a lead early but the Vikings climbed back into the contest to make things interesting down the stretch.

In the first half, Minnesota held an advantage after the first quarter, leading 7-6, but Dallas bounced back to take a lead into halftime. The Cowboys rattled off 10 unanswered points in that quarter alone to lead 16-7 at the break.

To round out the game in the second half, the Vikings battled back into the game right out of the gate, outscoring the Cowboys 7-0 after a touchdown in the third quarter to push the game back to a two-point contest going into the fourth quarter. In the final frame, Dallas outscored Minnesota 15-14 and pulled ahead with under two minutes remaining to grab the win.

With the win, the Cowboys got a much-needed win for their hopes in the division while improving to 3-7 overall on the year. In the loss, the Vikings win streak comes to an end while falling to 4-6 overall this season.

The Vikings will return to the field in Week 12 when they remain at home and play host the Carolina Panthers at US Bank Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The Cowboys get back to action in Week 12 when they return home to Dallas to host the Washington Football Team on Thanksgiving Day.

With the Week 11 game now over with between Minnesota and Dallas, let’s go back and come up with some studs and duds that took place in the contest.
