DraftKings NFL: Thanksgiving Day DFS fantasy football values
By Drew DeLuca
DraftKings Thanksgiving Picks: Washington at Cowboys (4:30 PM EST)
Quarterbacks: We can get behind Alex Smith (WAS at DAL, $5,400), but we’d rather spend an extra 200 bucks and roll with Andy Dalton (DAL vs. WAS, $5,600). The Red Rifle has a cornucopia of weapons at his disposal, and Smith’s pantry is paltry, by comparison.
Running Backs: Antonio Gibson ($6,000), mentioned above, is a must-start for us in any DFS format on DraftKings. We also think Ezekiel Elliott (DAL vs. WAS, $6,800) offers sneaky value despite a higher price tag, and while we’re okay with Tony Pollard ($4,000) as a dart throw, we’ll pass entirely on J.D. McKissic ($5,100).
Wide Receivers: Terry McLaurin (WAS at DAL,$7,000) is the clear class of this crew and should be in every starting lineup. It gets a bit dicier when choosing between Amari Cooper (DAL vs. WAS, $5,700) CeeDee Lamb (DAL vs. WAS, $5,400), or Michael Gallup (DAL vs. WAS, $3,500).
Gallup is long overdue for a big game, as his price reflects, but should only be chosen for budget reasons, as Cooper and Lamb are safer picks with higher ceilings. Cam Sims (WAS at DAL,$3,300) arguably offers a safer floor than Gallup at a $200 discount.
Tight Ends: Dalton Schultz (DAL vs. WAS, $3,800) and Logan Thomas (WAS at DAL, $3,500) are both targets for us in DFS this week. They both have seen fairly steady target volume, and both have middling matchups that are far from prohibitive in terms of production allowed to the tight end position in recent weeks.
Defense/Special Teams: Let’s make this simple: the difference in talent between the defenses fielded by the Washington Football Team (WAS at DAL, $3,700) and the Dallas Cowboys (DAL vs. WAS, $2,800) are even greater than their differences in price. Choose wisely!
