FanDuel NFL Week 12 Picks and Advice: Wide Receiver

Since most of my lineups will likely feature one or two cheap running backs, that means you get to spend up at wide receiver. The biggest lock at receiver this week is Keenan Allen ($8,200), who has already been insane this year and now draws a plus matchup with Buffalo. While Mike Williams will likely draw coverage from Tre’ Davious White, Allen will be left to feast in the slot.

If Julio Jones ($8,000) is out, Calvin Ridley ($8,100) becomes a must play in cash formats due to pure volume. With John Brown out, Stefon Diggs ($7,900) and Cole Beasley ($5,400) are both strong plays in a game with a 53 point over-under. Michael Thomas ($7,700) is also extremely underpriced, considering he had his best game of the year last week after being force-fed by Taysom Hill.

I like all of the Tampa Bay receivers for tournaments but the spread-out nature of the offense makes me hesitant to throw any in my cash lineup. Finally, if you are looking for cheaper dart throws, Michael Pittman Jr. ($5,700) and Nelson Agholor ($5,200) are both WR1s for their respective teams with great matchups.

I will probably be extremely light on DeAndre Hopkins ($8,500) as coverage from Stephon Gilmore and uncertainty around Kyler Murray’s injury would make me rather pivot to a sure thing like Keenan Allen at $300 cheaper.

I am also fading all Cincinnati receivers, as I need to see what their offense looks like with Brandon Allen as their quarterback. I am also hesitant to play any Los Angeles Rams receivers, as their offense tanked last time they faced San Fransisco, and outside of last week neither receivers have been able to consistently put up big games together.
