2021 NFL Mock Draft: Zach Wilson goes top-5 to Washington, Falcons land Trey Lance

While they’re just 3-7 at this point in the season, the Los Angeles Chargers have been a fun team to watch. Justin Herbert has taken over under center and the rookie from Oregon has silenced nearly all of his critics with his play. As long as the powers that be in Los Angeles continue to surround him with talent, this team could start to contend in the AFC.
Of course, not every pick needs to be about landing weapons for Herbert — they also need to be able to keep games from going into arcade shootout mode so frequently. That’s why they use the No. 9 pick on Patrick Surtain from Alabama, a stellar corner who can come in and compete with any receiver right away.
Another team that seems to always be really close is the New York Giants. Week after week, these guys play hard and five of their losses have been by one score. That could bode well for them as they look to make a run in the frustratingly bad NFC East.
As for the future, they need to get quarterback Daniel Jones some help. He will have that when Saquon Barkley returns from his knee injury but they also need a legit No. 1 wideout. They get that here with Ja’Marr Chase who does nothing but make big plays.
