Stud: An impressive blowout win

The biggest positive that came out of the game for the Falcons on Sunday afternoon was the overall performance of the team on both sides of the ball in clearly their most impressive victory of the 2020 season.

Atlanta looked dominant on the offensive side of the ball, which is something we have seen a decent amount already this year. But defensively, the Falcons looked even stronger against a solid Raiders squad, forcing Las Vegas into multiple turnovers and also out of the endzone for the entire contest.

So far this season, we haven’t seen the Falcons put together a full complete team performance, but we certainly saw that on Sunday at home en route to a blowout 37-point victory in Atlanta.

Dud: Nothing

Well, this is weird to write given the struggles of the Falcons so far in 2020 but there wasn’t another dud for this team on Sunday. Atlanta was so dominant and impressive en route to the win this week that there was nothing more to point out as far as negatives that took place in the contest.

For a team that started the year off 0-5 and went through changes in the front office and at the head coaching position, you don’t expect to see the type of performance we saw out of the Falcons in Week 12 against a solid Raiders squad.

Moving forward, Atlanta still has work to do this year and there really isn’t much of a chance at reaching the postseason, but Sunday’s win was about as complete as it comes and the Falcons have looked solid as of late.
