Green Bay Packers bold predictions for Sunday Night Football in Week 12 against the Bears.

Considering that it’s Week 12 of the 2020 NFL season, it’s a bit surprising that we’ve yet to see the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears face off. That’s about to change, however, as Aaron Rodgers and the 7-3 Packers will host the 5-5 Bears on Sunday Night Football in an always entertaining NFC North battle.

Green Bay is coming off of a tough overtime loss to the Colts last week but still sits in a commanding position within the division. A win over Chicago would increase their lead to three games while also giving them the upper hand in tiebreakers. Thus, Rodgers and the Packers should be plenty motivated for this one.

The Bears come into Sunday Night Football also with something to prove but in a different way. They sit at .500 on the year because they’ve lost four consecutive games and things are only getting worse. Due to injuries, Mitchell Trubisky will be back at quarterback for this game. While that’s a shot at redemption for him, it’s not the best news for the Chicago offense.

So where does that leave the host team on Sunday Night Football? Let’s make five bold predictions for the Green Bay Packers in Week 12 as they face the rival Bears.

5. Lazard finds his footing again with 75+ yards and 2 TDs

After a lengthy absence due to a core muscle injury, Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard returned to the lineup last week against Indianapolis but, as you might’ve expected for a player easing his way back into the mix, he didn’t play that big of a role for the Green Bay passing attack.

Lazard was targeted only four times against the Colts last week, hauling in just two of those for receptions and gaining 18 yards. But now matching up against a Bears secondary that has been less than stellar at several points this season and with so much attention being paid to Davante Adams, the No. 2 wideout in this offense will announce his return to prominence with a nice game.

Prior to his injury, Lazard looked to be well on his way to a bonafide breakout season. The wideout had 13 catches for 254 yards and two touchdowns through three games, including a 6-146-1 outing in the game against the Saints in which he suffered his injury.

While we shouldn’t expect Lazard to put up that type of game in just his second time out since he returned to the field, he should have a quality outing. Not only will he finish second on the team in targets and receptions behind Adams but Rodgers will look his way in the red zone and connect with him twice for touchdowns.
