Last week, the Cincinnati Bengals suffered their biggest loss of the season when Joe Burrow suffered a serious knee injury. Burrow was hit while running toward the goal line and he tore not only his ACL but also his MCL. In addition to that, he had damage to both his PCL and meniscus. With such a horrific injury, it’s safe to assume the road ahead for Burrow will be a tough one but he’s not a guy to bet against.

With him out, the Bengals turned to Brandon Allen against the New York Giants and they made it a close one. Allen was just 17-of-29 for 136 yards with a touchdown and a pick but he did enough to keep them in the game despite their ground game producing just 40 yards pm 15 rushes. Of course, they were aided by a huge kickoff return in the first quarter as Brandon Wilson took it back 103 yards to the house.

On defense, they kept the Giants from scoring any touchdowns outside of their first-quarter score from Wayne Gallman — holding them to four field goals from that point on. It was enough to keep it close but they still lost 19-17 and are now just 2-8-1 on the season. At this point, they’re looking toward the 2021 season and seeing what moves they need to make in order to improve.
