10. . . Previous: 27th. Houston Texans. 24. team

The Houston Texans ended up having quite the Thanksgiving Day as they were one of two teams to drop 41 points during the holiday. Playing in Detroit against the Lions, Deshaun Watson and his teammates were performing as if they were playing 7-on-7 drills.

Watson had 318 yards through the air and another 24 with his legs. He was unreal with four touchdown passes against no interceptions. It was a stark contrast to the way Matthew Stafford played, which is also a testament to the Texans defense.

They harassed Stafford all day, sacking him four times and forcing one pick. That interception was courtesy of defensive end J.J. Watt, who took the ball 19 yards to the house. Watt wasn’t alone in making big plays as linebacker Tyrell Adams was a beast as well, with 17 tackles and two forced fumbles. Fellow linebacker Nate Hall was also all over the field with two sacks and another forced fumble.

Houston had such a great day on Thursday that it ended up costing Matt Patricia his job. Two days after the 41-25 beating, the Lions moved on from their head coach who was once again unable to adapt in-game and saw his team embarrassed by a team that was being coached by an interim in Romeo Crennel.
