Indianapolis Colts (7-4) at Houston Texans (4-7)

Sunday, December 6, 1PM ET

The Indianapolis Colts need to get their act together in the worst of ways. It’s not that they’re losing a bunch — it’s that they can’t seem to find any sort of consistency. In the prior two weeks, they’ve beat two contenders. Then, they laid an egg against the Titans this past Sunday.

Now it’s time for them to prove they can look like a winning team for more than a week or two at a time. That’ll start with taking down the Houston Texans in Week 13. It should be another competitive AFC South showdown, especially given the fact that the Texans have been much stronger down the stretch.

Can the Colts defense step up and look like the elite squad it appeared to be earlier in the year? They’ve excelled at slowing the pass, but got blasted by Derrick Henry in Week 12. Luckily for them, the Texans aren’t exactly known for having a top-tier ground game. With that said, Deshaun Watson has come into form in recent weeks and will be looking to light it up.

I’m predicting the Colts get a close win, with their defense stepping up in the waning minutes to keep Watson and Co. from stealing this game. Philip Rivers doesn’t make too many mistakes, and Indianapolis rides its own rushing attack to a victory it desperately needs right now.

Prediction: Colts win 32-27
