Someone has to win the NFC East and here’s a reason why every team in the division can do so.

The NFC East is by far the worst division in the NFL but, per the rules of the league, every division winner gets to not only make the playoffs but host a game.

This means that whoever comes out of the putrid NFC East will be the No. 4 seed and host whoever the first Wild Card team is in a game that no one will really be looking forward to watching.

Since someone has to win the NFC East, let’s take a look at a reason why each team could hoist the divisional crown when the dust of the 2020 regular season has settled.

Why the Dallas Cowboys can win the NFC East: Offensive Weapons

This season hasn’t gone according to plan for the Dallas Cowboys at all. They were popular Super Bowl picks (or at least popular picks to win the division) because of how stacked their offense looked heading into the season.

Not only were the Cowboys returning their usual superstar names of Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott, Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup, but they drafted CeeDee Lamb in the first round of the draft, only adding to their arsenal of weapons. Adding Lamb to an already stacked group of offensive weapons made it seem like the Cowboys would be impossible to stop on offense.

The Cowboys were really good offensively, but that was only because their defense couldn’t stop anybody early on. Things really took a turn for the worse when Prescott was injured in Week 5. Andy Dalton had to miss time not long after, forcing Dallas to start nobodies at the quarterback position.

Dalton has returned from the concussion that sidelined him for three games and he’s talented enough to get this team to the playoffs. Dalton has more weapons in Dallas right now than he did at any point during his nine years in Cincinnati, so if the Cowboys have any hope at winning the NFC East, it’s the offensive weapons making plays when it matters the most.
