Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. RB. Travis Etienne. player. Clemson. 21. 59

This past draft, the Miami Dolphins had three selections and I was a big proponent of them spending one of those picks on a running back. That didn’t happen but the 2021 NFL Draft could be different. Miami again has multiple picks, using their earlier selection gained from Houston to land wideout Jaylen Waddle. He gives Tua Tagovailoa a new target in the passing game but a solid running back can help just as much. This is why Travis Etienne makes so much sense here.

Etienne has 76 career touchdowns as he’s proven he can carry the load and make the tough yards against any defense. Miami is a fast-improving team and securing a potentially dominant run game seems to be exactly what they need in order to take their next step.

player. 52. Scouting Report. Samuel Cosmi. Texas. 22. Pick Analysis. OT

(Pick via Los Angeles Rams): Another team with two picks in the opening round is the Jacksonville Jaguars. They ended up with the No. 2 overall pick for their own efforts, which secured them Justin Fields. Here, they are back on the clock thanks to the Jalen Ramsey trade with the Los Angeles Rams.

While the Jags have holes all over their roster, they need to go after some new offensive linemen if they want Fields to succeed. For far too long, they’ve been doing patchwork on that line and they need to start adding top talent, which leads to the selection of Samuel Cosmi out of Texas.
