It seemed as though the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans game was going to be a shootout for 60 minutes as they went into the half with the Colts up 24-20. However, the second half was a completely different story. Each team apparently went into the intermission and stressed the importance of slowing the opposing defense down — because that’s exactly what they did as only two points were scored in the second half.

Indianapolis moved to 8-4 as Philip Rivers threw two first-half touchdowns and the defense shut out Deshaun Watson and the Texans. The only other points came courtesy of Justin Houston, recording a safety for the Colts in the fourth and final quarter.

Not all was perfect defense for Indy though as they did have to get lucky at some points. For example, Watson had the Texans at the Colts two-yard line but he fumbled the snap and Indianapolis recovered it with Anthony Walker coming up with the loose ball. That kept Houston from being able to take the lead — and quite possibly score the upset win.

With the Tennessee Titans losing to Cleveland, it means Indy is now tied with them for first place. The AFC South could come down to the wire.
