Five fantasy football sleepers that deserve consideration for your Week 14 lineup.

In a year where there has been so much uncertainty with a season that could have gone off the rails at any time, we have finally made it to the fantasy football playoffs. The sleepers I highlighted last week were somewhat of a mixed bag.

Highs included Baker Mayfield finishing as the QB3 and Jordan Reed finishing as the TE9. Lows included Allen Lazard finishing as the WR57 and Frank Gore exiting the game with a concussion on the first drive.

Looking ahead to Week 14, we are officially done with bye weeks. This does not mean your team won’t be without players though, as there have been surprise players ruled out last second almost every week. If you find yourself in that position or have snuck your way into the playoffs with a ragtag squad, do not be afraid to slot these five guys into your lineup to keep your playoff run alive.

Fantasy football sleeper No. 5: QB Philip Rivers, Indianapolis (vs. Las Vegas)

Even though he is not going to single-handedly win you your fantasy matchup, Rivers has actually been a usable fantasy asset as of late, throwing for at least two touchdowns in five of his last seven games. It also helps that his offensive weapons are improving, with T.Y. Hilton appearing to have had a minor career revival in recent weeks and Michael Pittman Jr. stepping up as a legitimate threat.

Rivers gets a nice Week 14 matchup with Las Vegas, who just yielded a QB1 performance to the likes of Sam Darnold. While you can not expect a monster game, as Rivers certainly looks all of 39 years on the field, he is a strong streaming option here in Week 14.

Fantasy football sleeper No. 4: RB J.D. McKissic, Washington (vs. San Fransisco)

With Antonio Gibson finally starting to get involved in the passing game, it appeared McKissic’s time in the limelight had passed. After seeing 29 targets from Weeks 9-10, McKissic only saw six from Weeks 11-12. However, with Gibson suffering an injury early on in Week 13 McKissic stepped into his old role, securing all 10 of his targets for a measly 70 yards.

If Gibson remains sidelined for Week 14, McKissic has RB2 appeal in full PPR leagues, as even though Peyton Barber will take most of the early down work, McKissic will see the more valuable touches against a tough San Fransisco front.

Fantasy football sleeper No. 3: WR T.Y. Hilton, Indianapolis (vs. Las Vegas)

After being nothing short of awful the first eleven weeks of the season, T.Y. Hilton has stepped up as of late, turning in a WR14 performance in Week 12 followed by a WR6 one in Week 13. Though fantasy managers should certainly be wary of this sudden reemergence, he makes it difficult with another plus matchup against a weak Las Vegas secondary in Week 14.

While I would not be rushing to throw him in any lineup over a proven stud, at least make sure you have him on your bench for his Week 15 matchup against Houston, who he feasts on each and every time they play. Otherwise, view him as a high upside, low floor WR3 for Week 14.

Fantasy football sleeper No. 2: WR Denzel Mims, New York (vs. Seattle)

After turning in at least 62 yards for three straight games leading up to Week 13, Mims disappointed in a plus matchup against Las Vegas, only turning in two receptions for 40 yards. Even though Crowder appears to be Sam Darnold’s favorite target, I still believe Mims is the most talented receiver on the team.

He has constantly flashed his big-play potential and now draws a matchup with Seattle, who is allowing the most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. The Jets are going to have to air it out if they want to stay competitive with Seattle, and Mims will be the primary beneficiary.

Fantasy football sleeper No.1: TE Cole Kmet, Chicago (vs. Houston)

Kmet posted his first fantasy-relevant game of the season in Week 13, posting five receptions for 37 yards and a touchdown on seven targets. More importantly, he has clearly taken the starting spot from Jimmy Graham, who has posted two goose eggs in the past three games.

Expect this trend to continue with the Bears postseason hopes diminished, as they will likely favor getting their second-round draft pick touches over the veteran tight end. Fire up Kmet as a high-end TE2 in a plus matchup against Houston, and he could very well be a startable asset the rest of the way with matchups against Minnesota and Jacksonville the following weeks.
