Our Week 15 edition of the 2020 NFL Power Rankings

There were several exciting games this weekend and all had an impact on our 2020 NFL Power Rankings as we prepare for Week 15. The most surprising game had to be the Philadelphia Eagles win over the New Orleans Saints, as Jalen Hurts was successful in his first start.

Hurts took over for an ineffective Carson Wentz and proved to be exactly what that team needed. He was good with his arm but better with his legs as he outperformed Taysom Hill, giving the Saints signal-caller his first loss as a starter.

Another game that stood out was the Green Bay Packers win over the Detroit Lions. Not that Green Bay winning over Detroit is surprising, but it did move the Packers into the 1 seed thanks to the Saints loss. It was also a historic win for head coach Matt LaFleur who is the first Packers coach to win double-digits in each of his first two seasons.

Sunday closed out with a statement win for the Bills as well, as they handed the Pittsburgh Steelers their second loss in a row. With all the excitement behind us, we can now look at how the Week 15 NFL Power Rankings shake out, although No. 32 is still not a surprise.

2020 NFL power rankings after Sunday and entering Week 15

How bad were the New York Jets on Sunday? So bad that they got to see their old friend Geno Smith. The Seahawks had such a big lead that Smith came into the game during the third quarter in relief of Russell Wilson.

Seattle completely dominated New York as Sam Darnold again struggled to get anything going and the running game was even worse. The only highlight from the game that wasn’t awful for them was the acrobatic interception from safety Marcus Maye.

Now at 0-13, the Jets are running out of time to get a win this season and with the Los Angeles Rams, Cleveland Browns, and New England Patriots as their final three opponents, it might be a safe bet that they will go 0-16.

The only saving grace there is that it will give them a shot at Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence but there are already rumors that Lawrence doesn’t want to play for the Jets ‚— and it would be hard to blame him. Maybe a change in coaching will help change his mind, and that should be in order.
