team. 32. . . Previous: 17th. Arizona Cardinals. 14

Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals were the big surprise team of the season early on but then they hit a brick wall over the past month. They had three losses in a row as they dropped games against the Seattle Seahawks, New England Patriots, and Los Angeles Rams. They might have even been dealing with five straight losses had it not been for the ‘Hail Murray’ that knocked off the Buffalo Bills.

That win came on a last-second pass from Murray to DeAndre Hopkins — and followed a 34-31 loss to the Miami Dolphins. Add all that up and they were at 500 entering the game and while the New York Giants entered with a losing record, they have been playing well as of late — coming in with a four-game winning streak.

Arizona stayed focused though and Murray had 244 yards passing as well as 47 rushing. He was helped by Hopkins who had 136 yards on nine catches and Kenyan Drake who ran it for 80 yards and a touchdown.

The real difference was the defense though. The Cardinals made life hard on Daniel Jones who was 11-of-21 for just 127 yards. Jones was also sacked six times and Colt McCoy came in only be sacked twice more. The Giants also finished with fewer than 80 yards rushing in the Arizona win. Now at 7-6, and with the Vikings losing, the Cards are back in solid shape.
