1. Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Wide receiver

The Packers offense is better when Marquez Valdes-Scantling is playing at his best. In fact, it’s probably fair to say Green Bay’s passing game is nearly unstoppable when Valdes-Scantling is in form. That said, the highs are extremely high with MVS but the lows are very low.

Two weeks ago, Valdes-Scantling fumbled in Packers’ territory in overtime to set the Colts up for the game-winning field goal. Since then, he’s responded accordingly.

In Week 14 against the Lions, Valdes-Scantling put together one of his best outings as a member of the Packers. He compiled six receptions for 85 yards and had a beautiful touchdown grab on a contested back shoulder throw.

A huge reason Valdes-Scantling is the Packers’ biggest X-factor is the fact that he’s a chain mover. Of his 31 receptions this season, 25 have gone for first-down yardage. Valdes-Scantling also leads the NFL in yards per reception (19.5). The speedy wideout is the weapon Green Bay’s offense needs in order to be successful.

If MVS continues his current form and can stack success week after week, his confidence will only continue to grow. The Packers’ second-leading receiver in yardage (603) can take a play all the way whenever he touches the ball.
