NFC Playoff Scenarios, Week 15: Rams, Bucs can clinch berths

What NFC Playoffs scenarios are in play for Week 15 of the 2020 NFL season?

The NFC Playoff picture is changing with every passing week but, with only three games remaining in the NFL regular season, that means that wins and losses simply mean more. Just last week, the Green Bay Packers locked up the NFC North while also taking hold, for now, of the No. 1 seed. So what NFC Playoff scenarios are going to be on the line in Week 15.

Well, only one other team has a chance to lock up the division this week out of the NFC as we have some tight races in the conference, though the NFC East has often been a sprint to futility at times this season. Regardless of that, though, teams still have the chance to punch their tickets to the playoffs with a win and some help this week.

Let’s look at that and see what NFC Playoff scenarios are going to be at play during the Week 15 slate of the 2020 NFL season.

Week 15 NFC Playoff scenarios

In terms of things that have already been locked up, the New Orleans Saints have already clinched a playoff berth this season while the Green Bay Packers are the one team in the conference that has clinched the division.

But for the NFC Playoff scenarios at play in Week 15, we can first look at those Saints as they have something on the line. New Orleans can win the NFC South with:

• A win vs. Kansas City
• OR a Tampa Bay loss
• OR a New Orleans tie and Tampa Bay tie

That’s the only division on the line but there are playoff berths at stake in Week 15. The Los Angeles Rams can clinch a berth with:

• A win vs. NY Jets
• OR a Minnesota-Chicago tie

For the Seattle Seahawks this week, Russell Wilson and Co. and clinch a playoff berth with:

• A win or tie vs. Washington
• OR a Minnesota-Chicago tie

Finally, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a chance to clinch their own playoff berth with a win and a tie in the Minnesota-Chicago game.

As with the AFC, the Wild Card race won’t wholly be determined in this game. And in fact, we could see some serious jockeying for seeding depending on how the Week 15 games play out. But rest assured, the NFC Playoff scenarios should be in the forefront of your mind this week.
