Pick Analysis. Brady Christensen. 4. 861. Scouting Report. OT. BYU. player

It’s clear that the Cowboys can’t lean on Tyron Smith much longer and there are far too many holes on defense to address the position right away. They do well for themselves though in landing Brady Christensen from BYU as he’s a very experienced left tackle who might not wow anyone, but he’s an upgrade over Brandon Knight. Dallas might still need to bring in competition but he’s a player that can help.

840. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Florida. Tedarrell Slaton. player. DT. 4

Dontari Poe was supposed to be the Cowboys big man in the middle but he didn’t make it through his first season. He was released seven games into his most forgetful NFL season and the entire defense seemed to improve when he left. Of course, they aren’t good yet, but they got a little better.

The main reason is that Antwaun Woods was an improvement over Poe. Now, Woods is a free agent and the Cowboys might need a new nose tackle. That brings us to Tedarrell Slaton who is a huge man at 6-foot-5 and 358-pounds. He would be a welcome addition to this line due to his size and sheer power, which they need.

OT. Iowa. Alaric Jackson. 5. Pick Analysis. player. 878. Scouting Report

Dallas grabs another offensive lineman here in Alaric Jackson from Iowa. Listed as a tackle, there’s a chance Jackson will have to kick inside to guard. Either way, he’s an experienced starter and as we saw this season, the Cowboys can never have enough depth along the offensive line.
