FanDuel NFL picks, Week 15: Best DFS fantasy football lineup
FanDuel NFL picks and lineup advice for Week 15 DFS fantasy football.
Welcome back to another week of FanDuel NFL DFS advice. Week 14 saw plenty of new interesting storylines develop that we are going to want to keep an eye on in these coming weeks. We saw rookie quarterback Jalen Hurts take down the New Orleans Saints and also got to witness the game of the year between the Browns and Ravens on Monday Night.
Looking ahead at Week 15, even though we are past the bye weeks the DFS fantasy football main slate is not necessarily stacked, as there are two games on Saturday this week. This means that players from the Chargers, Raiders, Bills, Broncos, Packers, Panthers, Browns, Giants, Steelers and Bengals will all be unavailable in the main slate.
This large amount of unavailable players may initially appear to make the slate more challenging but, in reality, it allows you to hone in on specific games and players you want to build your lineups around.
When talking about players I will reference the salaries and salary cap of a typical FanDuel tournament. I will also show a complete lineup, which consists of nine positions: QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, FLEX, DEF. The players referenced will all be from the main Sunday game slate. Note that your individual strategy should change based on the type of formats you enter, and I will reference strong plays in cash and tournament formats.
Without further ado, here are my FanDuel NFL DFS picks for the Week 15 main slate!
FanDuel NFL Week 15 Picks and Advice: Quarterback
Patrick Mahomes ($8,900) is the most expensive quarterback on this slate, and for good reason. Even though he has a tough matchup with the New Orleans Saints, Mahomes has proven he is matchup proof and has huge upside in a game with a 52.5 over-under.
However, as always there are plenty of cheaper options that will allow you to make room for players like Derrick Henry and Dalvin Cook. Lamar Jackson ($8,200) is a fantastic play against a weak Jacksonville defense. Even though the Ravens are going into this game as 13-point favorites which would usually favor the running backs, Jackson is the QB9 on the season despite being the QB22 in passing yards, so he can pay off his salary through the air and on the ground.
Kyler Murray ($8,000) is back on the table after a few weeks of poor play, as it appears he is back to full health and now gets a nice matchup with an injury riddled Eagles secondary. Tom Brady ($7,900), Jared Goff ($7,800) and Ryan Tannehill ($7,700) all have fantastic matchups, though my favorite of the three is Brady, as he has the best matchup and no running game to fall back on with Ronald Jones on the COVID list.
If you are looking to punt the position or want a cheap tournament play, look no further than Jalen Hurts ($6,900), who should put up the rushing numbers against a weak Arizona defense to easily pay off his salary.
I am personally staying away from Russell Wilson ($8,400) in cash formats, as Washington’s front should be able to apply enough pressure to keep him from having a blow-up game. I am also avoiding Matt Ryan ($7,400) as he is almost unusable for fantasy with Julio Jones out, even in a potential shootout with Tampa Bay.
