Who stood out and who fell short in the Dallas Cowboys’ Week 15 win?

The Dallas Cowboys were able to win back-to-back games for the first time since the 2019 midseason, which highlights just how futile they have been this year.

Still, a win is a win and they’re somehow still alive in the NFC East despite being 5-9. While that’s a longshot, it’s still good for head coach Mike McCarthy to start putting some wins together as he hopes to build toward the 2021 season.

Here, we look back over their 41-33 win over the San Francisco 49ers and point out who were the studs and duds.

Stud: Jourdan Lewis, Anthony Brown

Jourdan Lewis has been good in recent weeks and he showed up again in Week 15. Lewis had a sack, pass defense, and made a tackle for a loss in the open field to set up a 3rd-and-12 on the first play after the two-minute warning. That was all in the first half.

He did have a mistake in the fourth when he was called for pass interference on third down but was bailed out by Anthony Brown who picked off a pass shortly after that. This led to Tony Pollard‘s second touchdown, which put the game away.

Dud: Amari Cooper

Amari Cooper is paid like one of the best wideouts in the game and his numbers suggest that’s still true. The only problem is, he disappears far too often and Week 15 was a game where he disappeared.

Cooper had just 10 yards on two receptions and -7 yards on two rushes. Yes, the 49ers defense is a strong unit but you don’t pay a guy $20 million to only perform against the weak defenses.
