FanDuel NFL Week 16 Picks and Advice: Wide Receiver

At the wide receiver position, Tyreek Hill ($9,400) is far and away the best play. Unfortunately, he is also extremely expensive. As for the rest of the top receivers, you will see plenty of questionable tags and tough matchups.

If you are low on cash, I do not mind skipping over these guys and going for a player like Jarvis Landry ($6,500) or Keke Coutee ($6,100). You certainly have to adjust expectations this week and realize that these players can easily be WR1s on the slate. I think Tee Higgins ($,5800) is an extremely sneaky play if Tyler Boyd is to miss with a concussion. I would actually be willing to play him in cash as he could easily see double-digit targets and turn them into a strong fantasy day against a weak Houston secondary.

Finally, you can look at the players lower on the depth chart of the Chiefs if you want a dart throw in a tournament. There should be enough touchdowns to go around, though the uncertainty makes Mecole Hardman ($5,500) and Sammy Watkins ($5,400) a no go in cash.

As for wide receivers I am fading, DK Metcalf ($7,700) will not be seeing my cash lineup, as he is likely to be shadowed by Jalen Ramsey and be thrown to by a struggling Russell Wilson. The only wide receiver I would be willing to play in cash in the Seattle game is Robert Woods ($7,300), who has seen at least five targets in every game this season and looks to be Goff’s go-to target in the end zone.

I am also staying away from the Pittsburgh receivers outside of Diontae Johnson, as Roethlisberger has not been supplying enough quality targets for all three to succeed though Johnson seeing double-digit targets every week keeps him relevant.
