FanDuel NFL Week 16 Picks and Advice: Tight End

Travis Kelce ($8,800) is the most expensive tight end as he always is, and as always I recommend running a few tournament lineups with him in it but would avoid him in cash. If you have money to spend, I like Noah Fant ($6,200) as a cheaper option. He is the clear cut No. 1 option on this offense and has the ability to break a big play. While I would not recommend going all-in on Fant, as he has left multiple games this season for various reasons, definitely get him in a few lineups.

As for punt options, Cole Kmet ($5,400) once again makes the list as someone who is running more routes and playing more snaps than other tight ends in this price range. If you want to get even cheaper, I like Austin Hooper ($5,100) and Tyler Eifert’s ($4,600) chances at a touchdown this week as they face the bottom two defenses against opposing tight ends.

FanDuel NFL Week 16 Picks and Advice: D/ST

Defense is pretty tough this week, but the good news is that games on this slate should be pretty low scoring and you can therefore get a solid floor from plenty of defenses. The Browns ($4,900) are the strongest play on this slate if you have the cash, but the Steelers ($4,400) and Colts ($4,300) are better, cheaper defenses that should be the focus of a low scoring affair.

I think Seattle ($3,900) is a sneaky play in a game that could realistically fail to reach 40 total points. Carolina ($4,000) should also see multiple turnover opportunities with Dwayne Haskins likely to be under center.

FanDuel NFL Week 16 Lineup

  • QB Patrick Mahomes – $9,400
  • RB Miles Sanders – $7,300
  • RB Austin Ekeler – $7,000
  • WR Tyreek Hill – $9,400
  • WR Tee Higgins – $5,800
  • WR Rishard Higgins – $5,800
  • TE Cole Kmet – $5,400
  • FLEX J.D McKissic – $5,800
  • D/ST Seattle – $3,900

This lineup takes advantage of the Mahomes-Hill stack while avoiding lots of games in the slate that project to be extremely low scoring. Ekeler, Sanders, and McKissic all offer us an incredibly high floor with their pass-catching ability, which leaves the fate of our lineup with Patrick Mahomes and Tyreek Hill, something I am more than happy to say.

There are plenty of ways you can change this lineup around as well. It leaves you with $200, so if you prefer to play the Chiefs defense against Atlanta you can. You can also upgrade McKissic or either Higgins to a player like Ceedee Lamb or Giovanni Bernard, though I prefer the guaranteed passing work of McKissic. As always, best of luck in your Week 16 DFS endeavors and Happy Holidays!
