All four Heisman Trophy finalists could find themselves as first-round picks in the 2021 NFL Draft.

The Heisman Trophy finalists for the 2020 college football have been announced and the nominees are Mac Jones (Alabama), Trevor Lawrence (Clemson), DeVonta Smith (Alabama), and Kyle Trask (Florida). The award has gone to a quarterback the past four years and likely will again this year.

While the Heisman Trophy finalists are game-changers in college football, they’re not always locks to make it to the NFL. These four players, however, will not only be punching their ticket to the pros, but they could all be doing so as first-round selections in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Let’s take a look at where each one of these Heisman hopefuls could end up come NFL Draft season.

Who will pick Mac Jones in the 2021 NFL Draft?

While I mentioned these players could all be first-rounders, Jones is the only one who might not go in the first round. This year’s quarterback draft class is pretty stacked and Jones, as of now, is considered the No. 7 quarterback according to The Draft Network.

The only reason I said that Jones could find himself as a first-round pick is that there was a recent mock draft from CBS Sports where he went to Indianapolis with the No. 23 selection. At first, this seemed ridiculously high, but the Colts could make a lot of sense for Jones actually.

For one, they need a quarterback and Jones is one of the best quarterbacks in college football right now. Secondly, the Colts aren’t going to have the luxury of getting the best options in this draft due to being a playoff team. Jones will be on the board by the time the Colts are on the clock and while they could still turn to free agency to add a veteran, Jones would be a nice future option at the sport’s most important position.
