Green Bay Packers bold predictions against the Titans on Sunday Night Football in Week 16.

The Green Bay Packers find themselves ready for Sunday Night Football at Lambeau Field in Week 16 as they have a tough matchup in the penultimate game of the regular season. The Tennessee Titans are hitting the road for this primetime contest, ready to put Aaron Rodgers and the current top seed in the NFC to the test.

Rodgers is most likely ready for it given how good he’s been this season. The veteran quarterback has been phenomenal in the 2020 season, looking like one of the two leading NFL MVP candidates in the league to this point. However, the Packers will have their hands full as the Titans are riding Derrick Henry once again to a ton of success.

So who will emerge in this matchup between playoff teams trying to tune up for the postseason? Let’s make five bold predictions for the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football against the Titans in Week 16.

5. Green Bay Packers defense shuts down Brown, Davis

Tennessee has quietly seen a monster season from quarterback Ryan Tannehill after the organization inked him to a lucrative extension this past offseason. And a big reason for the signal-caller’s success has been the performance of wide receivers Corey Davis and A.J. Brown, both of whom have shown out.

Davis, after the Titans elected not to pick up his fifth-year option this offseason, has been on a mission to prove himself in 2020. This season, he leads the Titans with 945 yards on 60 receptions with five touchdowns on the year. Brown has been not far behind, catching 56 passes for 881 yards and 10 touchdowns.

While that might be the case, the Packers are a defense that’s primed to stop a passing attack like Tennessee’s. Jaire Alexander can match up with Brown either on the outside or in the slot and largely shut him down. Meanwhile, the safeties and depth at cornerback should be able to bracket and slow down Davis.

Taking that into account and then looking at the Green Bay pass rush, this should be a game in which the Titans struggle to find their top wideouts consistently. Expect both players to be held comfortably under 100 yards and not make any big splash plays.
