Green Bay Packers: 5 Bold predictions vs. Titans in Week 16
3. Jones hits 100+ yards with a TD in third game of the last four
When Aaron Jones missed some time and then returned to the field soon after, he was clearly not operating at 100 percent. The running back in search of a new contract, specifically, was having trouble finding a rhythm in the rushing attack and making a strong impact. But in the past few games, that’s changed.
In Week 13 against the Eagles, Jones carried the ball 15 times for 130 yards and a touchdown. He followed that up with 15 carries for 69 yards against the Lions before torching the Panthers last week with 20 carries for 145 yards and a touchdown. And it feels like that trend might continue on Sunday.
The Tennessee run defense isn’t necessarily bad but they have been far from elite. Moreover, the Titans are the type of team that Green Bay has the potential to jump out to an early lead against and then try to milk the clock. And that’s exactly what we could see to open things up for Jones.
As such, for the third time in four games, Jones will top the century mark on Sunday Night Football and will cross the goal line for the third time in that span as well. He’ll help the Packers try and ice the game, which will work quite well for the Green Bay offense late.
