Green Bay Packers: 5 Bold predictions vs. Titans in Week 16
2. Rodgers, Adams connect for a monster three-score performance
In the simplest terms, Davante Adams is in the midst of a truly incredible season. Despite missing time, he’s one of the leaders in the league in terms of yardage and touchdowns and even catches. On the year, the Fresno State product has 98 receptions for 1,186 yards and 14 touchdowns, making him a critical cog in Rodgers’ plight to try and win another NFL MVP award this season.
To put it simply, there aren’t many defenses in the NFL that have a chance of completely stifling the Rodgers-to-Adams connection that has been thriving this season. But at the same time, there are matchups that are more favorable than others. The Titans are one of the matchups that fit into that category.
With a weak pass rush and a secondary that, though healthier now, has struggled throughout the year, Tennessee has given up just over 284 passing yards per game this season. That doesn’t bode well for them going up against one of the best quarterbacks and wide receivers in the league right now.
Knowing that this is the matchup for the Packers offense, Rodgers will look to his top target to make a statement time and again. Adams will not only top 100 yards with ease but the duo will combine for three touchdown passes on the night.
