50. . . Previous: 24th. Detroit Lions. 24. team

This one got out of hand in a hurry. The Detroit Lions’ forgettable season hit a new low when they lost on Saturday by a score of 47-7 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, dropping them to 5-10 on the year.

For Detroit, it was a rough game from the start as they were down to their third coach on the season as Darrell Bevell — the interim coach who replaced the recently-fired Matt Patricia — was out due to Covid. In his place was Robert Prince, a seasoned assistant who has been on the staff since the days of Jim Caldwell.

As if the move on the sidelines wasn’t enough for them to deal with, the Lions then lost Matt Stafford during the team’s first drive of the game. Chase Daniel came in to replace Stafford and while he completed 13-of-18 passes, he wasn’t able to move them into enemy territory as he was completing one dump off after another — finishing with just 86 yards.

On defense, they had no answers for Tom Brady who was 22-of-27 for 348 yards with four touchdowns. He then gave way to Blaine Gabbert who added another two touchdowns. Detroit finishes their season with a home game against the Minnesota Vikings as each team hopes to find success in the final weekend of what has been a year to forget for each club.
