Buffalo Bills Stud No. 4: Dawson Knox and Lee Smith

Even though tight end Dawson Knox dropped a surefire touchdown against the Patriots, he and fellow tight end Lee Smith ultimately enjoyed quality games from the position in a contest when Diggs was really the only wide receiver who stepped up.

Knox was actually the second-leading receiver for Buffalo on the night, hauling in three of his four targets against New England for 51 yards. Had he been able to reel in the touchdown grab, it would’ve been a banner night for the youngster.

Smith, on the other hand, managed to find paydirt on Monday as he caught both of his targets from Allen, finishing with two receptions for 31 yards and the score. The Bills having secondary pass-catching options step up in this manner will be vital to their postseason success.

Buffalo Bills Dud No. 2: Devin Singletary

Considering how effective the Buffalo passing attack was on Monday night, it’s difficult to be overly critical of Devin Singletary and the run game. However, the second-year runner has only found sporadic success in the 2020 season and in a game in which he seemingly could’ve helped ice things away late in the game, he failed to find any kind of consistent production.

Despite getting 10 carries on the night, Singletary finished the game with only 36 yards on the ground. For context, Allen was just one yard off his pace on six fewer carries. Singletary did manage 16 yards on two receptions and, while he does have to split time with Zack Moss, you’d like to see the former FAU back be a more constant presence in the offense.
