Dallas Cowboys (6-9) at New York Giants (5-10)

Sunday, January 3, 1PM ET

Only a couple of weeks ago, the New York Giants were ready to flip their season around and run away with the NFC East title. Now heading into a Week 17 showdown with the Dallas Cowboys, it’s seeming highly unlikely they get to taste the postseason.

Then again, this is a do-or-die situation for both clubs. The winner could potentially jump the Football Team if they fall to the Eagles, meaning this could be a bloodbath of epic proportions. There will undoubtedly be plenty of scoreboard watching and coaches pulling out all of the stops to secure the win.

The Dallas Cowboys seem to have the edge heading into the regular-season finale. They’ve won their last three, and are getting some exceptional play from Andy Dalton, Michael Gallup and just about everyone else on the offensive end. As long as the Dallas D can hold up against the Giants’ attack, they shouldn’t have too much trouble earning the victory.

It seems crazy to think that, after the way this season began for the Cowboys, they could actually be headed to the playoffs as the NFC East champions. It obviously depends on what happens with Washington and Philly, but don’t count out either of these squads just yet.

Prediction: Cowboys win 24-22
